Hire, train, and promote Commanders: If you have a handful of medals, you can spend your collected medals to hire new commanders, train your existing commanders with new perks, and promote them to a higher rank.

Here you can hire commanders, buy Resources with Medals and send your commanders into missions. Missions are the second section on your military career.
